I have seen far too many posts on social media about rogue photographers charging the earth for wedding photography then sending 200 photos even though they were there 10 hours,,,,,, or then trying to charge per image after they have already paid an amount for the photographer,, ow it gets worse, one guy was charging £500 for the wedding of 6 hours then charging £10 per image, £15 if they wanted them basically (not specialised or polished) edited,….. this is literally the cringe factor that gives wedding photographers a bad name.

1– I will give a GAURENTEED amount of a minimum of 40 images per hour – thats more than 1 per every 2 mins!
2-I will edit and professionally polish each one for you, not just a whitewash in lightroom. (specialist editing such as scar/tattoo removal or edited weightloss may incur extra fees due to the time required in editing – NEVER MORE than £5 per individual image)
3-I will ensure All your images supplied in web friendly format for sharing online and social media
4-I will ensure All your images also provided in High Definition High resolution Printable versions – so you can have them printed into canvases and prints if required. On a USB device for you to keep.
5-I will always offer you A free couples Shoot before hand to get to know each other either at a location or at our studio – can be as standard or as creative as you want – we do waterfalls-paint splashing – chocolate pouring-sparklers – snow-sports – water fights – light tunnels, fireflash exc,,

Curvy Brides!
I am one of those girls who just cant stand photos of myself. My neck always looks,, like it doesn’t exist, I have 3 or 4 chins, I never look like I have shape and whenever anyone takes out a camera I don’t just hide, I can get defensive!
I t was learning how to take photos of myself that I liked and felt comfortable with that taught me how to pose and position a curvy figure to flatter and enhance those things I love and minimise and hide the things I dont want on show.
Most other people just capture the moment without a hint or a care about how that ‘capture’ might look or how it might make someone feel if it didn’t get them in the right light. The camera doesn’t just add 10lbs in the wrong hands it can add 110lbs!
Another pet hate of mine is when people tell you that is doesn’t matter how they photographed you and that you should ‘love who you are’ anyway, yes the concept is true and we should all love and accept ourselves, but even the prettiest models go through make up, hair, clothing and poses before a photo shoot, not to mention mountains of photoshop after work, so why should you not be expected to want to appreciate at least some of those dignities?
So, dont feel ashamed to ask someone to wait a few moments whilst you compose yourself, dont get irritated if they rush off and blindly, un-skillfully shoot away anyway. Simply tell them you dont want to see the images. If they were not interested enough to give you a few moments then they cant be surprised when you show no interest in the outcome.
Woking out which pose is best for you is a journey of self discovery. Also, just because a pose works standing up, doesnt mean something similar will work when your sat down. I have been lucky in my lifetime to watch as attitudes towards the beauty of diversity have done a u-turn. I have met some lovely, beautiful people who have braved the cold and come out on top of the world!
I am so very grateful to all those who have spoke out throughout history and those who continue to fight the oppressive attitudes we are thankfully beginning to leave in the past. It is because of those people, I will one day watch my Son walk down the Isle and Marry the man of his dreams.

In his iconic novel Giovanni’s Room, gay author James Baldwin makes a powerful statement about love. He proclaims that gender, sex and sexuality don’t matter; all that matters is that two people really love each other. Baldwin assured them that it didn’t matter because love is love, regardless of the physical aspect of that love, the spirit of love was the truth.

Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir, was the former Icelandic Prime Minister and the very first openly gay head of state, she spoke these iconic words during a speech at a 2014 Pride festival. It was at this festival she spoke of how thankful she was, that her native country was openly moving towards acceptance and equality for LGBTQ people. She also made it known that until these rights are status quo the world over, we cannot consider ourselves truly free. This marked one of the first calls from a head of state to make LGBTQ rights the standard worldwide.

Barbara Gittings is an American activist fighting for the rights of the LGBTQ population. In her most well-known fight she took on a Goliath: the United States government. She picketed to stop them from barring LGBTQ applicants from employment. She fights for true equality and acceptance not only in the laws but in the very core of society, its people.

If you aren’t familiar with the name “Bayard Rustin,” you might recognize one of his closest associates: Martin Luther King Jr. Rustin was an important figure in the Civil Rights Movement, he fought not only for the civil rights of African Americans, but for the LGBTQ community as well. Rustin urged those who were oppressed to engage in civil disobedience to get their point across, pushing those who had the urge to fight for their rights to be unafraid to speak up and act out to demand them.

So heading out for a drive around with my daughter and granddaughter and we spotted some flowers by the road side, I had my camera on me and literally, we jumped out of the car and just started shooting!
You wouldnt believe these were done right outside of RollsRoyce in Derby! up agaisnt a metal fence. So vivid were these flowers that we just had to!
Not sure if Pookie is trying to smell them or eat them in this shot, but with the sun on their shoulders we played with them for a little while mid afternoon before driving off to find another spot.
Princess Pookie! at 6 months old she is almost up and crawling already, waves hello, bye bye and says hi! cant believe she was just a little bundle not a few weeks ago.
